One step ahead: Empowering Amputees Through Partnership with On Running and Superhumans
ZhdU is proud to announce a transformative partnership with On Running and the Superhumans Rehabilitation Center in Western Ukraine. Through this collaboration, hundreds of war-impacted patients have received adaptive footwear, empowering them to take their first steps toward renewed independence. This initiative not only bridges Switzerland and Ukraine in solidarity but also marks the start of a broader commitment to supporting amputees on their road to recovery.
In an inspiring initiative, ZhdU recently established and facilitated a corporate partnership with On Running to provide specialized footwear to the Superhumans Rehabilitation Center in Western Ukraine. Dedicated to treating amputees who have sustained severe injuries due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, Superhumans offers essential care to individuals as they embark on their journeys toward physical recovery and independence.
This partnership aligns closely with ZhdU’s mission to build a bridge between Switzerland and Ukraine, connecting resources, compassion, and expertise to help those affected by the war. Thanks to On Running’s generous donation, hundreds of patients have received high-quality, adaptive shoes, ensuring that every inpatient treated at Superhumans over the course of a year can walk their first steps toward a renewed life in shoes that fit their needs.
For amputees, the moment they receive their prosthesis is pivotal—a time when their bodies are once again seen as whole, marking the first steps toward greater independence. These shoes are more than a necessity; they are a symbol of resilience and forward movement, embodying hope and dignity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to On Running for their compassion and generosity. ZhdU looks forward to strengthening this impactful partnership with On and Superhumans through even more collaborative initiatives in the coming year, with expanded support to reach even more patients on their journey to recovery.
Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing efforts to support the Superhumans Rehabilitation Center and our commitment to uplifting communities affected by the war in Ukraine.
